Tigers Decorative

We are delighted to welcome Camilla as a new
partner to Tigers Decorative. This is the 4th generation of antique
dealers within the family.

After studying print and textiles and gaining a 1st
Class Honours degree, I gravitated to interior design and the varied world of
antiques and works of art. Over the years I have collected various frames from
the 17th – 19th Century and amassed a collection of
period engravings, mainly of natural history subjects. Nowadays finding sets in
their period frames has become increasingly difficult. I decided it would be a
great idea to make fine quality copies of these original frames, using the same
techniques as the originals were made (wood, plaster, gesso, bole and 23 carat
gold leaf) We use period or hand cast picture rings and we also use a Verre
Eglomise technique on the glass, which gives a various subtle effects.

We have tried to choose interesting frames to enhance
my archive of prints and engravings.
