17th Century Pine Chest Of Drawers

A late 17th Century William & Mary pine chest of four graduated drawers, which are pine lined. The chest of drawers has its original engraved metalware and period locks. Each drawer is surrounded by a double D moulding, sitting on a shaped apron, with double D mouldings and turned bun feet. This chest was originally painted, traces of paint (red ochre) found behind some of the mouldings, there are also scribed lines for setting out patterns, see photos. Circa 1690-1700.
