18th Century Gustavian Corner Chair

An elegant Swedish dry scraped 18th Century painted corner chair of generous proportions, retaining it's original paint. The cabriole legs sit on ball and claw feet, joined by nicely turned stretchers and central finial. The shaped back rail is supported by two silhouetted vase motifs and cannon barrel turnings, with a comfortable linen upholstered seat. Circa 1750.
