A very interesting dance macabre, possibly of Prussian soldiers. Set in a Gothic ruin under the light of a full moon. The skeletons are smoking and drinking, with their horses in the middle distance. Ink and body wash on paper, in a rosewood veneered frame. Circa 1880 - 1900.
