A collection of ten coloured framed engravings by the Reverend Francis Orpen Morris, born in 1810. He was a passionate naturalist, ornithologist and entomologist who was also a member of the the Ashmolean Sociaty. He founded the Plummage league to protect the destruction of birds for their feathers. He had a very close relationship with Benjamin fawcett, a printer who was one of the best wood block printers of his great generation. Dated 1852.
These engravings have been mounted and framed in our Tigers Haven workshop, made and gilded by hand. The collection comprises of:
